Project Limbs

Meets the most basic need of the amputee, that for a limb. Funds raised are used to purchase new prostheses. New prosthetic donations will be distributed to amputees. Used prostheses will be disassembled and rebuilt to suit individual needs. LOHF will offer informed medical referrals and financial assistance. Through our efforts, we may be able to help individuals reach self-sufficiency after the loss of their limb.

Project H.O.P.E.

(Helping Others Play Equally): An opportunity to help disabled individuals gain confidence and pride in oneself. With the help of sponsors, we hope to provide sports/recreational opportunities. Our plans include installation of play areas (i.e. basketball courts, softball fields), distribution of equipment (i.e. balls, pads, and jerseys) and aid in instruction. Also, we plan to make awards, such as trophies and medals, available to increase self-esteem.

Project Foundation

Funding construction on sufficient rehabilitation clinics and also improving existing clinics.

Camp Amp

Our plan to establish a summer camp for individuals suffering limb loss. The program will include recreational activities but also aid campers in their personal struggles. Esteem workshops will be offered and attendees will be surrounded by others who are in a similar situation. We hope to make financial aid available and offer all amputees a chance to simply have fun and feel good about themselves in warm, safe and secure environment.
